The date of the event is set for January 26, 2013 from 8 am to 3 pm. The event will take place at the Sandhills Pointing Breeds club located at 3280 Jackson Springs Roads, Jackson Springs, NC.

SPBC has generously donated the use of their land and clubhouse for this event. Currently, the SPBC is in need of donations to cover the cost of birds, shotgun shells and to cover meal expenses. All excess funds will go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project. You can send donations to the below point of contact and address. Please make checks payable directly to the SPBC.

We are in need of volunteers, to included canine companions (hunting dogs). The day will be set up like a fun hunt or a senior/master level hunt test. Volunteers and their pointing breed dogs will serve as guides for the Wounded Warriors hunting in the field. Your dog will point the bird and you will position the Wounded Warrior in a location for a safe shot, flush the bird, and your dog will retrieve the bird for the Wounded Warrior.
Items needed for the day are drinks and baked goods.
We will be serving a light breakfast and the local VFW will be serving lunch. Please join us for breakfast and lunch.
This is a unique opportunity for these individuals to enjoy our sport and our dogs. Each of them truly deserves this outlet as they have given so much of themselves to preserve our way of life. We look forward to hearing from you.
