2015 / Feb – Vet Tactical Group Trauma Clinic

Attention Members – This is a Special Opportunity
During the March Hunt test, March 14 – 15, we are privileged to have the Vet Tactical Group come to present a Trauma Clinic for all those who would like to participate and learn. The Vet Tac Group is a highly acclaimed group of Veterinarian consultants who present training all over the country to police departments on their dogs used in law enforcement and search and rescue. The Vet Tac Group has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan to provide training to handlers of our combat dogs as well. Each seminar is tailored to the needs of the organization receiving the training. This website http://www.vettacgroup.com/ and the Vet Tac Group’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Veterinary-Tactical-Group/ provide more information.
The total time of our clinic will be 6 hours. This will be arranged into two, 3-hour segments; one on March 14th, Saturday AM (9 to 12) and the other on Saturday afternoon (1 to 4). In order for you to be able to attend both halves of the clinic; the order of the presentations will be reversed on March 15th, Sunday, i.e., Saturday’s AM session will be in the afternoon on Sunday (1 – 4) and Saturday’s afternoon session will be presented on Sunday morning (9 – 12). You will have the opportunity for some hands on practice using special equipment used in veterinary trauma treatment. With this scheduling you should be able to also participate in the Hunt Test if you want.
The maximum attendance for the Trauma Clinic will be 30 members or guests (if not filled by members). 15 will start on Saturday AM and 15 will start on Saturday PM and reverse schedule on Sunday. The cost for the two sessions will be $60 per person for members and $100 for non-members.
Calvin noted – “This information is from the source of our military’s new protocol for K9 trauma. A grenade wound is not much different than a shotgun wound. An impalement of a stick is the same as one from shrapnel. This is cutting edge stuff and people who take this clinic will know what to do to help and what they should have in their vehicles.
This clinic is like insurance you buy and hope you never need. … But then you do… This time it’s not a dented fender. Your dog is still alive.”
